Matt Ward is a designer, technology researcher and lecturer at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
He holds a Lectureship in Design at Goldsmiths, where he co-founded Triptych Research Studio with Mike Waller. Before working at Goldsmiths he developed RFID prototypes for NCR's Knowledge Lab where my research focused on designing wireless systems for domestic environments and the effects of RFID on brand identity. He has also designed and implemented spatial Internet applications for navigating 'information space'. He holds one patent and curently have an additional six pending on my work. He has acted as research affiliate to The Auto-ID Centre, MIT Media Lab and Interaction Design at The Royal College of Art.
My work focuses on the design of objects and interfaces that cause social friction.
